Navy SeaPort-Next Generation (SeaPort-NxG) Multiple-Award Contract (MAC)
The Navy SeaPort-NxG contract offers a comprehensive range of services covering all mission areas and technical capabilities supported by the Department of the Navy’s ordering activities. This contract encompasses two main categories—Engineering and Program Management—along with 23 functional area subcategories. Services can be performed for both new and existing product areas, programs, or missions that are designated to these activities throughout the contract’s duration.
Scope of Awarded Contract
Navy SeaPort-Next Generation (SeaPort-NxG) Multiple-Award Contract (MAC)
The primary goal of SeaPort-NxG is to deliver services that encompass a wide range of mission areas and technical capabilities supported by the Department of the Navy (DON) ordering activities. Under this contract, services can be performed within two main categories—Engineering and Program Management—across 23 functional area subcategories. These services may apply to both new and existing product areas, programs, or missions designated to these activities throughout the contract’s life.
Engineering Services
This category involves applying engineering disciplines to support the research and development of new and existing Naval capabilities and systems. It includes technical support for significant modifications to existing systems, integration of equipment or software into various platforms for the warfighter, and evaluation of foreign or non-developmental systems and technologies. It also covers all environmental engineering support for U.S. Navy weapon systems and related infrastructure. Key functional areas under Engineering Services include, but are not limited to:
- Engineering, System Engineering, and Safety and Process Engineering Support
- Software Engineering, Development, Programming, and Network Support
- In-Service Engineering, Fleet Introduction, Installation and Checkout, and Provisioning Support
- Measurement Facilities, Range, and Instrumentation Support
- Interoperability, Test and Evaluation, Trials Support
- Research and Development Support
- Modeling, Simulation, Stimulation, and Analysis Support
- Prototyping, Pre-Production, Model-Making, and Fabrication Support
- System Design Documentation and Technical Data Support
- Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RM&A) Support
- Inactivation and Disposal Support
- Biochemical Engineering Support
Program Management Services
This category focuses on applying business, financial management, and technical disciplines to support the planning, organizing, staffing, controlling, and leadership of acquisition programs. The objective is to deliver a capable and supportable system to the warfighter at the right time and cost. It integrates various functional disciplines to achieve program goals through development, production, deployment, operations, support, and disposal. It also encompasses information system software analysis, requirements definition, design, development, testing, modification, installation, implementation, quality assurance, training, and documentation to meet evolving data storage and reporting needs. Additionally, it provides systems engineering and technical support for the establishment, testing, upgrading, and operational support of systems and equipment outside NMCI’s scope. Key functional areas under Program Management Services include, but are not limited to:
- Financial Analysis and Budget Support
- Quality Assurance (QA) Support
- Functional and Direct Programmatic Administrative Support
- Professional Development and Training Support
- Analytical and Organizational Assessment Support
- Database Administration
- Public Affairs and Multimedia Support
- Logistics Support
- Configuration Management (CM) Support
- Information System (IS) Development, Information Assurance (IA), and Information Technology (IT) Support
- Computer Systems Analysis
Please note that this contract does not permit the direct procurement of supplies or hardware. Any materials or products ordered must be incidental and directly support the services provided, such as small-scale testing equipment, prototypes, or spare parts.
